AN OCTOGENARIAN'S GRATITUDE.A FACT. George-street, Sydnoy, Ist Sept., 1884. Messrs. Mtsrs & Solomon. GENTLEMEN— It gives me considerable pleasure to tender you my best thanks for yonr kind recommendation of St. Jacobs Oil. Aoting upon your advice, I tried it, and am happy to say the very first application brought me instant relief ; and by following it up for a couple of days, I felt completely cured. Before using St. Jacobs Oil I suffered severely— more especially from Bwollen knees — and had tried many other remediea without the least effect. However, I havo to thank it for making me myself again, and shall be careful to recommend it. I may mention that I shall be 80 years of age in October, and believe that through its use I shall be able to spend a pleasant birthday. Yours faithfully, JOSEPH HENRY. FOR THIS BELIEF, MUCH THANKS. Montague's Fancy Bazaar, 58, Princes-street, Dunedin, 21st July, 1884. (To the Editor Evening Star.) Dear Sir — 1 have great pleasure in testifying to the efficacy of St. Jacobß Oil for a severe case of neuralgia in the face. O IR — I wish you to insert enolosed oircular IO sent to me by the Secretary of the New Zealand Leather Company, as I think it right the pnblio shonld know the course they are adopting to float the new company. I, for one, have had quite sufficient of Leather Companies, and prefer putting up with the first loss. I am, yours, &c, A Shareholder. Wellington, 27th October, 1884. New Zealand Leather Company, Wellington, 16th October. 1884. Dk An Sir— There appears to be a mistaken notion on the part of a nnmber of shareholders that they need not apply for shares in the proposed new company, as their present interests will be transferred. I now write to advise you that this idea is incorrect, and that every shareholder must make proper written application to the New Company. .1 regret to inform you that, although our present business is a perfectly good and safe one, the capital iB too small to allow it to be continued, and if the new company does not float and purchase tho assets, a ferced realisation must take place, with the resnlt that you will probably have to pay an immediate call of .£2 to £Z on oyer.v share yon hold. All this can be avoided if you will take at once an equal number of shares in the new company, and with this view I enclose an application form, which please sign and return to me by first post. If you fail to do thia the Directors must throw upon yourself the entire responsibility of tho fnture serious loas yon will sustain. Yours faithfully, ROBERT WILBERFOSS, Seoretary. •NEW ZEALAND LEATHER MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LIMITED. TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST.
