New Zealand securities — 5 per cent. 10-40 loan, 105 ; 5 per cent. 18S9 loan, 103} ; 4} per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 99J ex div. ; 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 100. The market rate of discount has advanced i per cent., and is now equal with the Bank rate, viz., 3 per cent. Colonial breadstuffs continue quiet but steady at, last quotations, viz., Adelaide wheat, 44s f New Zealand, 36s to 425; Adelaide flbur, 31s, all ex store. Tallow — Australian of fair average quality remains at 39s for beef and 42s for mutton.
