THE NEW MINISTRY.

* Tho new Ministry wero duly sworn in nt noon to-day. Tho Hon. Major Atkinson having received the commands of his Excellency the Governor to form a Ministry, attended at Government House yesterday afternoon and submitted to his Eioellency the names of his proposed colleagues, whicn the Governor approved, and the ceremony of swearing in duly took plaoo to-day as above. The new Ministry are as follow:— The Hon. Major Atkinson.— Premier, Colonial Treasurer, Commissioner of Customs and Stamps, and Minister of Marine. The Hon. William Rolleston.— Minister of Lands, Mines, and Immigration. The Hon. Thomas Dick. — Colonial Secrotary and Minister of Education. The Hon. John Betce.— Minister Jor Native Affairs and Defenoe. Tho Hon. Waltee W. Johnston.—Minister for Pnblio Works. The Hon. Edward T. Conolly.— AttorneyGeneral and Minister of Justice. Tho Hon. Richard Oliver.— PostmasterGeneral and Commissioner of Telegraphs.
