Foreman waa oharred wtthi having been drank in the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel laat evening. He denied the offenoe, whioh wa* proved by Constable* Campbell and Donovan. The younu man wa* drunk and vi ry quarrelsome, aid refused to leave when requested. .. A penalty of S* and cost* was initiated. ' t John Biohardibn, on bail, failed to appear to answer a similar oharge. The evidenoe went to show that the aoousol was drank at the Mount Cook drill-chod yesterday oven* injr, and had to be conveyed to th* station, Hlr Worship forfeited tho bail. ' WIFI DSBIRTION. Zeoda Thomas was arraigned on a oharg* Of deserting hi* wife and family at Christohnroh. Accused denied the oharge, and stated that he had left hi* wife in that oity with her full consent On the application of Chief Deteot'.ve Browne, the prisoner wu remanded to Chri<tohnrcn.
