THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH AT. TIMARU.

Tate, the missing commission agent, w»« found yesterday afternoon, abont fire miles north of Timaru, by two little girls, and word was at onoe cent to the police. The body was olose to the top of a cliff orerlonking the sea, and amongot tho tnssoolcs. It was lying on its back, with legs extended, and arms olese to tho eider, tho hands- cweping the Iho tuetooks. The f»cn was calm, and the whole aipeot, with the exception of the position of the hands, one of perfeot repose. No Bigns of violenoo are on tho body — in faot, nothing, bo fur, to lead to enrraiio as to o&ubo of death. Uo must havo boon 'dead two days at least. The body was brought into town, and an inquest will be hold tomorrow. Mr. Tate'wus formerly resident in Wellington, but had lived here for the last thirteen years.
