SERIOUS FIRE AT HAVELOCK. [By Telegraph.] [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Havelock, This Day.
Mr. Hutchinson's Masonic Hotel and Mr. Jamea Smith's store and outbuildings were burnt down last night. Messrs. Brownlee and Company's buildings, Messrs. Mills Brothers' stores, Mr. Fear's hotel, and Mr. ' Venemore!s premises had a narrow escape. The insurances are as follow .-— Hutchinson's hotel, in the National for JESOO and in the Transatlantic for i>3so; Jas. Smith's store was insured in the Victoria office for £500 and in the Union fcr £800.
