(ONITXD PBBSS A88OCIATI0N.) Hokitika, 28th December. In reference to the disappearance of the two missing deputy-returning officers, Mr. M' Far lane, R.M., at Jackson's Bar, telegraphs the election returns Irom Jackson's Bay to be— FiteGerald, 18 ; Reid, 22. The missing men have tho Arawata and Okura returns with them. It is feared both men have been drowned, as very Btormy weather prevailed on the cowt between the 12th and 20th instants, wi'h heavy rains, and there are no subsidised ferries between Haast and Poringa. Several of the creeks are dang*--ous when flooded. Both are married l _,a with Urge families.
