GOVERNMENT LAND SALE.

The Government have received the following telegram from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Patoa, relative to the sale of Crown lands which took place yesterday : — "' Very good sale to-day ; large attendance, bidding spirited. All the deferred payment sections sold; highest price, £4> 10s per a re. The cath sections, in blocks 14 x 15, Kaupokonui, all sold at good prices ; highest, £2 16s per acre. All the suburban sectiona in Block 111., Hawera, sold at high prices, ,£l2 per acre the highest; Block 12, Kaupokonui, none sold ; Block IX , Ngaire, 4 sold; Block 1., Hawera, the last 4 sections sold at upset price."
