♦ [By Telegbafh.J [united pbess association. i Najtier, loth December. The declaration of the poll for tho East Maori electoral district to-day gave Tomoana 900, Eodgers 737, Wi Pere 630, Ngata 488. For Napier, Mr. Buchanan ; aud for Waipawa, Mr. Smith, have been declared duly elected. Cambridge, 15th December. The declaration of the poll for the Western Maori electoral district was made here today. The totals are— Te Whaoro, 991 ; Mangakaria, 223; Mita Karaka, 143; W. Hughes, 75 ; majority for Te Wheoro, 768. Wiremu Te Wheoro was, therefore, declared duly oleoted. None of tha candidates were pre3ent.
