Evening Post Office, Saturday Afternoon Obdskeby, HasblXi & Co. import sales at their roomß for the paßt week:— Flour, g.aoks, £11 10 a; 10 jib bags, £11 15b; 6u's, £12; o&ftneal, £12; pollard, £4 10 ato £6; ohaff,£4los; bran, £4 per ton ; new potatoes, 6s to 7s per cwt ; oats, 2s 3d to 2s 9a ; wheat 4s to i* 6d : barley, 3a per bushel ; hams and bacon, farmers' cure, 6d ; eggs. Is lsd per doz ; onions, 2Jd to 3d per lb ; oranges, 12a ; apples, 10s 6d to 12a ; lemons, 16a to 18s per oase ; piiie apples, 9s per daz; cherries. 6s 6d to 8a; pluma, 8a 6d to 10a per box ; fowls, 4a 6d ; geeae, 8s to 9a 6d ; ducks, 5a fid per pair. At tbe Hutt market sale theie was a good attendance of buyers, and about 60 head of cattle and SO bones were sold, either under the hammer or privately after the Bale. Prioea ranged as follows :—Yearlidga, 45s to 60a ; steers, 65a to 70a; cows, £3 10 a to £6 ; horses sold at low prices, ranging from 30s to £12; pigs— weamcxß, Us 6d; stores, 12a. XjAEBY & Camfbeiili report buainess brisk at their market sale :— Cherries bronght SM per lb ; fresh butter, 7£d : eggs, Is lid to Is 2d ; geeße, of which there waa a great quantity, sold »t 3j to 3s 9d each : dnoka, 4a 3d per pair ; fowls, 3s Sd per pair ; onions have come in far in excess of the demand, one lot was sold at lid, the balance was withdrawn; kidney potatoes realised only C» 3d per cwt. Geoboe Thomas reports Bales this week:— Flour (colonial). £11 10s to £11 19a; bags, £12 to £12 10s; oats, feed, 2s 6d to 2s 6d; milling, 2a Sd ; bran, £4 to £4 Bs ; fowls' wheat, 4s 3d scarce ; : moijse, 4a 64, noue in market ; pollard, £5 to £5 10a ; potatoes, old, SO3 ; bacon 6 J, hams lOd, in good demand ; cheese, 4|d ; fresh butter, 7d ; new povatoes, 7s; peas, 2£d ; eggs, Is 2d ; fowls, 49 6d; ducks, ss; gegae, 10a per pair; onions, 2d; goosberries, 2d ; cherries, 4d to 4|d ; orangsß, lla. Trade haa b*en exceedingly quiet during the week, in consequence of the late oleotion excitement.
