Gmtmouth, This Day. Two very Bharp and distinct shocks of earthquake, the heaviest ever experienced here, were felt this morning at 7.33. Ihe first shock and vibration came from deaward, west to east, the second about nortk to sonth. Both lasted between 20 and 30 seconds, and houses were visibly bhaken, but no damage was dono. The same shocks were also felt at Ahaura. Ihe telegraphist described it aa " fearful." Ltell, This Day. A smart shock of earthquake was felt at 7.37 this morning. The duratian was five seconds, and the direotion of the vibration east and west. Ktjmara, This Day. Two shocks of earthquake were felt here this morning at 7.35. The first, a slight shock, appeared to come from the northwest like a gust of wind. The other, whioh ocenrred a second lat-r, was the heaviost experienced on the West Coast since 1853. The direction was south-west to north-east, like an upheaval. Ohbistchubch, This Day. The severest shock of earthquake experienced since 1863 occurred shortly before 8 o'clock this morning. The vibration continued about 45 seconds, direction N.K. to S.W. No serious damage is reported.
