* COLLISION IN THE CHANNEL. FOUNDERING OF A SYDNEY SHIP. TWENTY LIVES LOST. London, 29th November. The ship British Navy, bound from London to Sydney, while proceeding down the Channel, came into collision with an unknown vessel off Deal. The former snffered severe injury, and sank shortly after the collision. Twenty persons on board of her were drowned. Consols. 100£. New Zealand securities are uncharged. Adolai !•"> wheat, ex warehouse, 56s ; New Zealand ditto "12s ; Adelaide flour, 41s Gd. Australian tallow, best beef, 3Ss ; beat mutton, 41s 6d. At the wool sale to-day, 8700 bales were offered. A good demand was experienced. San Francisc >, 28th November. Arrived —Pacific Mail steamship Zealandia, from Auckland (Bth November), three days in advance of contract time.
