Gibson addressed a crowded meeting of the electors' of Timara in the Theatre Royal to-night, and received a vote of thanks and confide- cc. An amendment of thanks only was lost. Hokitika, This Dat. Two candidates for the General Assembly ware nominated at noon to-day — Eobert Caldwell Eeid and Gerrard George Fitzgerald. The show of hands was in favour of Mr. Eeid.
