I UNITED PKKSS ASSOCIATION. | Auckland, 28th November. The Rev. D. Bruce announces himself a candidate f»r Eden, and Mr. W. Lee 3 for City Worth. Mr. Monk addressed the electors of Parnell. He said he would support the Government policy, and received a vote of confidence. Mr. Laing addressed the electors of City West, and stated that he would support Sir George Grey. He received a vote of confidence. Timaext, 28th November. Mr. J. S. Gibson addressed a crowded meeting of the electors' of Timara in the Theatre Royal to-night, and received a vote of thanks and confide- cc. An amendment of thanks only was lost. Hokitika, This Dat. Two candidates for the General Assembly ware nominated at noon to-day — Eobert Caldwell Eeid and Gerrard George Fitzgerald. The show of hands was in favour of Mr. Eeid.
