TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST.
•Sir — It has been, and is still studiously circulated by som<j designing people that by voting for Mr. Andrew Yonng the chances may bo that Mr. Fisher will be chosen. It is, in fact, the battle-cry of Mr. Hutchison's supporters. The presumption of person who has written oa the subject, who, by tho way, makes it his business to enquire of every twentieth person ho meets in the street as to the ohanoes of Mr. Young's success in the Mayoral contest, and who has stated that " the popu arity of Mr. Young is not so great now as it was last year " is only on a par with the arrogance of that individual who constituted himself the sole arbitrator as to the fitness of the next occupant of the Mayoral chair. If any doubt exis'ed as to tho popularity of Mr. Young's candidature, last Friday night's meeting — one of the most nmmerously attended, and most enthusiastic — mußt dispel any donbts in that direction. I am, &c. Wellington, 28th Nov. Citizen.
