A HINT TO VOLUNTEERS.
♦ TO THE EBITOR OF THE EVENING POST. Sib, — I see that a lot of blame has been attached to Mr. Fiahor re the loather medal. Now, I consider Mr. Hutchison cast a greater alight on the volunteers than Mr. Fisher, through hisagent(Mr. Carter), by not meeting them publicly on their return, and thanking them on behalf of the Wellington citizens. In ev<*ry other place in the colony the Mayor met the rolnnteers publioly, and gave them a grand welcome home. I suppose Mr. if atchison thinks our men were unworthy of it. Volnnteers shonld remember this on polling-day. I am, &o , _________ Pivot.
