Now, I consider Mr. Hutchison cast a greater alight on the volunteers than Mr. Fisher, through hisagent(Mr. Carter), by not meeting them publicly on their return, and thanking them on behalf of the Wellington citizens. In ev<*ry other place in the colony the Mayor met the rolnnteers publioly, and gave them a grand welcome home. I suppose Mr. if atchison thinks our men were unworthy of it.
