ELECTION INTELLIGENCE.
At a meeting on Saturday, of persons favourable to the return of Mr. W. B. Edwards, for South Wellington District, committees were appointed to secure his return. Mr. Edwards will address the electors at the Tory-street Theatre, on Thumiiy next. Dr. Newman addressed the electors in the Porirua District on Saturday evening, and received a vote of confidence. Mr. Benall addressed the electors at Opaki on Friday night, and received a vote of thanks. Mr. D. Sinclair addresses the Lower Hutt electors this evening. I By Telegbaph.] I UNITS!) Mr. John Bonnie, a local farmer, is spoken of as a candidate.
