Wind— Between north-west and bou til-west at ell places north of Napier and between northeast and north-west at all other places. Barometer— Further rise at all places north of Napier. Fall at all other places. Sea— Moderate on both coasts Telegrams to expect strong northerly gales have been sent to most ol the stations from Caatlepoint southwards, SYNOPSIS 07 LAST 24 HOUBB. In nearly all patte of the oountry the barometer has continued rißing with moderate winds and fine weather. B.A.EOWIN. 27th October.
