Mr. Peter Finn, a candidate for Hokonui, addressed the electors at Lumsdea last night, and proclaimed himself a supporter of the Government. A unanimous vote of confidence was carried. Messrs. Cowan and Driver addressed the electors at Gore, and both received votes of confidence. Very few, however, held up their hands at Mr. Cowan's meeting, and though the meeting was substantially the same, it was nearly unanimoua for Mr. Driver.
