THE PARIHAKA MEETING. TE WHITI AGAIN ADVOCATES RESISTANCE. [By Telegraph.] [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION]. New Plymouth, This Day.
The usual monthly meeting was held at Parihaka to-day. Two hundred of the returned prisoners were present. The meeting was a large one. Te Whiti spoke about an hour, and was followed by ToLn. Tho speeches were in much the same strain as at the la«t meeting. They were to resist, and no matter if thousands came to Pungarehu, the walls would fall down, and the European power be broken up.
A brief telegram was received by the Government this afternoon, from Pungarehu, respecting the Parih^ka moeting. It stated that the speeches made were cf a pacific character.
