Wind— Between north-west and south-weßt in both Inlands. Babometer— Further rise at all places north ol Napier; fall at all other places, but rising again after 12 hours. Sea— lncrease on western, moderate on eastern coast. Wabninqs for westerly gales have been sent to places south of Lyttelton SYNOPSIS 07 LAST 21 HOURS. From Wellington southwards strong southerly galeß have been experienced ou the eastern coast, but elsewhere the weather has been moderate. The barometer bas continued rising in all parts of the country, the movement beicg greatest on the East Coast, between Lyttelton and Napier. B. A. EDWIN. 6th October.
