Sir— l see that the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce usea the distinctive term "the working man." To be consistent, you will of course soundly rate Mr. Nathan for descending to such clap- trap. I and others, who know what hardship and short commons are, know that there is such a thing as the hard-working, real practical working man, as distinguished from the aristocrat, but we do object to be made a " stalking horse" of by Mr. Nathan. I am, &c, Working Man.
