WATER FAMINE IN TUNIS. REPORTED INTENTION OF THE BEY TO RESIGN. THE LAND LEAGUERS AND THE IRISH PRISONERS. Pabis, lCbh September. Telegrams are to hand from Tunis announcing that the inhabitants of that city are suffering from a water famine, owing to the recent destruction of the aqueduct by the Arabs. Further telegrams report that the Bey contemplates resigning the sovereignty of the principality, but the statement requires confirmation. London, 16th September. The Irish Land League Convention, now sitting at Dublin, has passed resolutions declaring the intention of the Land Leaguers to oppose any attempt to carry out the provisions of the Irish Land Act until all the prisonera now in custody have been released.
