MESSRS. BROGDENS' CLAIMS. TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST.
Sir — The paragraph in your issue of yegterday relating to the ema 1 sams which the Government hvve p ssed for payment to us requires turthor explanation than you have ariven, namely — th*t we do not rely on these admissions as a means of urging pur further claims, but *ek th»t the other items shall
be similarly looked into and they will then be fotmd, in the great majority of the oases, to be equally duo to us, or that we should have the legal remedies to which everyone is Bupposed to have a right. Tho amount, of course, is large, but will not get less by remaining unpaid with interest accumulating at 10 per cent, per annum. If law expenses are added, that must further increase the sum which the Government will eventually have to pay. I am, Ac, Alex. Bbogden. 14th September, 1881.
