AtrcKtAWD, 9fch September. JThomas Colbrick, lately telegraphist at Whangaroa, who attempted suicide there by taking chloral, and was sent to tho Lunatic Asylum for a short time, was killed by tho Waikato down-train at 8.15, at the Ellorßlie cattle cross ng, to-day.. Itis presumed that ho had been awaiting the train, as his head was on the line. The cow; oatcher struck it and knocked the body down an embankment. His ncse had been ,bleoding,»aa 'his pocket handkerchief was stained with blood. His wife and children aro at Auckland. He waa transferred to Whang&ron, from Catiin's River Station, Ofcago.
