The bb. Wanaka left Port Chalmers at 3SO p.m. on the 6th, and arrived at Ly ttelton following morning at 9 40 ; left again at 4.45 p m., and reached Wellington at 9.20 this morning; experienced fine -weather up the coast, with southerly -winds. Bne sails for Pioton and Nelson to-morrow. The bb. Hnift left Wanganui at 9 p.m. yesterday, crossed tne bar at 0 30, had fresh BK. wind with heavy sea, and arrived at Wellington at 10.10 this morning. She returns to-morrow. The barque Q. M. Tucker arrived in harbor this afternoon from Newcastle, haviDE left there on the U9th ult. The schooner Star of the Sea arrived last night from Lyttelton. The s s. Wakatipu sailed South shortly after 1 p.m. to-day. The Government steamer Hinemoa sails for Auckland to-morrow, taking his Excellency the Governor and suite, who are to join H.M.U. Emerald, bound to Fiji, The Jane Douglas leaves for Foxton this afternoon. The s.s. Penguin, from Onehanga via intermediate porti, arrives here to-morrow morning. In the afternoon she leaves for Lyttelton. The bs. Te Anau, from Melbourne via the South, will arrive tomorrow morning, and sail In the afternoon for Auofcland via Bast Coast. The b.b. Stormbird is expected back from Wsnganui to-morrow morning. The Go-Ahead, irum Napier and Oaßtlepoimt, ■hould arrive late to-night. Messrs. W. & G. Turn bull & Oo.'a three-masted ■ohooner May is now due from Hongkong. The steamer Hula reports sighting a barque this morning, in the Strait, like the Wave Queen, now due from London.
