MR. A. W. BROWN AND THE 1.0. G.T. VOTE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST. Sir — It is currently reported that, in the election of a CounoiUor for Cook Ward, Mr. Brown is the chosen man of the Good Templars, and is therefore to get their block vote. Now, sir, allow me to give this the most positive denial, as no action whatever has been taken by the Good Templars as an Order with regard to the Municipal e'eotion ; bnt I will make bold to say that when the members of the Order do snow their voting strength, it will be in favor of a man of their own choosing, and not the mere nominee of a certain person who happens to be a member of the Order. Of course I do not suppose that these statements have emanated from Mr. Brown personally, as such mis-state-ments would surely be beneath our would-be reformer of all things. Trusting that you will insert this, as if not refuted, such rumors are calculated to mislead the "public, I am, &c, W. Millbr, P.W.C.T.
