SYNOPSIS OK LABT 24 HOURS. There have been hard northerly sales with rain in all parts of the oolony, and daring the night the wind alternated between north-west and south-west ou the western coast. There have been thunderstorms over nearly all the district between Hokitika and Lyttelton and New Plymouth and Napier, and the barometer has risen a little everywhere. R. A. EDWIN. 6th September.
