MALADMINISTRATION AT THE QUARANTINE STATION. QUARANTINING OF UNINFECTED PERSONS. [reuter's telegrams. 1 Melbourne, 3rd September. The Union Co.'s steamship Ringarooma arrived this morning from the Bluff. Thib Dat. The passengers injurod at the Jolimont railway accident are progressing, though slowly. Several of the sufferers have, it has been ascertained, been injured internally. It is announced that the steamship Europa will leave early next month with another shipment of meat for London. Sydney, This Dat. The A.J.C. Spring Meeting opened a£ Randwick on Saturday. For the Derby three started, and the race was won bjf Wheatear by one length, with Sardonyx second, and Gem third. Two fresh cases of small-pox are announced, the sufferers being a man natnod Caulfield, now in the Infirmary, and a woman named Margaret Ganott, residing on the Botany-road. Mrs. Rogers died of the disease labt night at Pyrmont. It has now been ascertained that several of the quarantined cases are not small-pox at alt. Detailed aocounta by persons recently released from quarantine endorse fully the statements previously mado of maladministration at the station. It ia probable that another sculling match will be arranged between Ru-h and Laycock for .£2OO.
