Wind— Between south-east and north-east in both Islands. Bakometer— Fall at all stations. Bba— Heavy in Bay of Plenty and increase on Bast Coast from Onotlepoint northwards. "Wabnings for easterly gales and heavy rain have been sent to all places north of Napier. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HODBS. From East Cape northward the barometer has fallen steadily; on the west coast of the Middle Island it has fallen slowly : but in other partu of the couutry it has continued rising.
