WEATHER FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 9 A.M. TO-DAY.
Wind— Between north-west and Bouth-weßt in both ißlandi ; wind backing at all places north Ot Castlepoint after 12 hours. Babomjbteii— Further rise at all stations, but fallng again at all places north of Castlepoint after 12 haura. Sea— Heavy on eastern coast, between Bluff and Uastlepoint. Moderate on western coast. Warnings for southerly galea have been sent to most stations south of Uastlepoint, and for wind backing to other places. BYNOPBia Off LAST 24 HOURS. From Lyttelton northwards there has been much rain and generally strong northerly winds The barometer continued falling at all stations until a late hour, but it has risen generally during the night and the wind haa changed to the southward The sea has been heavy between Lyttelton and Ca&tlepoint, but only moderate oa the western coast.
