LATEST INTELLIGENCE. NEWS FROM AFGHANISTAN.
ATOUB'S PREPARATIONS FOR THE ATIACK. Calcutta, 15th August. The latest intelligence from Afghanistan is to the effect that Ayoub Khan ia still in the neighborhood of Candahar, where he is recruiting his force and making requisitions upon the inhabitants of the district for supplies and arms, of which he stands much in need. His artillery is reported to bo sufficiently strong, and fifteen of the Ameer's cannon, captured at the battlo of Karez Ulyiar last month, are in consequence being sent on to Herat.
