Dunedin, 13th August. Alexander Wylie, carpenter of the Bteamer Hero, fell from aloft, a distance of 60 feet, and broke his ne^k, death being instantaneous. He was 56 years old, and had been 16 years in the ship. He leaves a family in Melbourne.

A company has been formed at Greytown, with a capital of £ 1000, for the purpose of starting a butter and cheese factory on the American principle. Messrs. Plimmer, Reeves & Co. will sell to-morrow, produce, &c. Mr. George Thomas will sell to-morrow, produce, fowls, turkeys, &c.
