LATEST INTELLIGENCE. MINISTERIAL CRISIS IN EGYPT.
RISE IN BREADSTUFFS. Alexandria, 13th August. A Ministerial crisis has ooourred in this country, and has resulted in serious discontent manifesting itself in the Egyptian array. Osman Pasha Sefhs, the Minister of War, has in consequence been dismissed by tho Khedive. It is understood that his Majesty, in view of the crisis, desires to assume the position of President of the Council of Ministers. London, 13th August. Consols, 100|. New Zealand Securities — 5 per cent. 10-40 loan, 105; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 10i£; 4£ per cent. 1889 loan, 10l£ ex div. In the wheat market prices are rising owing to continued excessive rain throughout England, which is causing injury to the crops. New Zealand and South Australian breadstuffs are strong at yesterday's quotations. Australian tallow is firm at 34s Gd for best beef, nnd 36s 6d for best mutton.
