The Detached Squadron, it has transpired, leaves Port Jackson for the Fiji Islands on Wednesday next, the 10th inst. A man named Harris, a small-pox patient, died at the Quarantine Station last night. Adelaide, Bth August. The Orient Company's steamship Lusitania, which left London on sfch July, arrived here yesterday morning. This Day. Correction. — For arrival Orient steamship Lusitania, read Orient steamship Garonne. Melbourne, This Day. The Peninsular and Oriental Company's steamship Kaiser-i-Hind,with the Suez mails, which le:t London oa Ist July, arrived here yesterday morning. Brisbane, This Day. In the libel action brought by Mr. Coote, a journalist, against the proprietors of the Evangelical Standard, in which damages were laid at a verdict has been returned for the defendants.
