PRESSMEN AND LAWYERS.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE BVENING POST. Sib— The letter appearing in your issue ef last night, signed " An Undesirable," is an example of how people rush into print without knowing the facts of the case. "An Undesirable" will be surprised to know that nearly all the pontlemen named by him could be admitted to the New Zealand Bar to-morrow upon passing the necessary examinations in law, as I believe most of them ara graduates of univer- ; sitias. But I venture to think that none of ! them, nor any man of self -respect, wiuld care to enter the legal or any other profession by the backstairs which Sir George Grey proposes erecting for the unlearned. I am, &c., O. sth August.
