"HAMLET."

? Herr Bandmann made his re-appearance in this city at the Theatre Royal on Saturday night, when "Hamlet" was placed on the stago, the cast being about the same as on the occasion of its representation by the Australian Dramatic Company a few weeks ago. Concerning Herr Bandmann's delineation ef the melancholy Dano we have previously written in these columns. It ia now merely necessary to state that the impersonation was quite equal t3 its predecessor. It was careful and consistent, and characterised by those manifestations of genius that have rendered the artist's name famous throughout the world. The audience— by no means commensurate with the meritsof the performance— expressed their appreciation in a most demonstrative manner, and Herr Bandmann was frequently recalled. As Ophelia Mis 3 Louise Beaudet played in her usnal charming way ; while Mr. Cathoart satisfactorily f nlfilled the roles of the King and the Ghost of Hamlet's father. The remaining principal parts were also creditably sustained. " The Duke's Motto" constitutes the pitce de resistance for thi3 evening, and will be followed by Herr Bandmann's one-act comedy, entitled "A Radical Cure."
