The p.s. Charles Edward arrived from West Coast and Nelson this morning. She returns to same ports thiß evening. The Patea came in from Patea thiß morning and leaves again for same port on Sunday. The bb. Go-Ahead arrived from Napier and Castlepoint this morning, at 9 30, and returns to Bame ports to-morrow afternoon. The steamer Grttfton, which arrives here tomorrow from the South, leaves at 9 p.m. same day for Nelson and Wast Coast. Thes.B. Stormbird sailed this afternoon for Wanganui. The Government steamer Stella left this morning with stores, &c, for the northern lighthouses. It will be Been on reference to the Union Company's advertisement that the steamer Penguin, which arrived Irom the North to-day, leaves thiß evening for East Coast and Auckland, takiDg the Bingarooma's passengers, mails and cargo, for transhipment to the s s. Albion, for Sydney. The Uiagarooma returns South. The 8 8. Taiaroa will arrive from the South on Sunday next, and sailß for Picton and Nelson on Monday. The steamer Hnia, in going down the Wanganui Biver last night, got stuck on a mud fiat She, however, got away this morning, and will arrive about 7 this evening, The s.s. Wakatu arrived at Lyttelton yesterday with a cargo of cattle from Patea. She ireturns to Patea, and may be looked for here on Bonday.
