RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
This Pay. [Before Mr. Edward Shaw, R.U ] ALLEGED ASSAULT. Thomas Pope was charged with assaulting Jessie Thompson on tho 28th instant, and threatening that "he would do something for her so that she would not forget him,"wherefore she applied to have the defendant bound over to keep the peace. There waa no appearance of either party and the case wa3 struck out. CIVIL CASE?. Judgment Summonses. — M'Dowell Bros, y. G. W. Boileau, £2 193, ordered to be paid in two monthly instalments ; Hit^hens and others v. M. Mason, .£49 18s 9d, to pay £1 per month; S. Stone v. J. O. Lord, .£1 Is 6d, to pay in 14 days. Judgment for plaintiffs with costs in the following cases :— Zohrab, Newman & Co. v. J. Woodman, £36 18s 6d ; Lindsay and another v. W. Bishop, .£1 3a ; Stewart and Co. v. J. Kelleher, .£6.
