A trade line of 250 sacks of oats, ex Hawea.from Lyttelton, brought 2s 4d per buehel. XiAEBT <fc Campbell's report is that trade has been very quiet since Wednesday. Fruit is getting scarce ; the market is clear of oranges, and apples are not very plentiful, and rising in price. In dairy produce theie ia a regular collapse ; fresh batter ia almost without value ; in quantities it was with difficulty 9£d was obtained to-day, and several cases had to be withdrawn for want of bidders. Two lines of eggs only were quitted at auction (guaranteed fresh) at Is 5d to Is Gd, at which all the wants were supplied ; 6d was tbe best price offered for lime-preserved eggs, and they were necessarily withdrawn; hams and bacon remain nominally at B£d to 9d if guaranteed, but there is nothing doing in them ; cheese, 4tl to 4Jd, but the same remark applies; potatoes are without alteration, 40s, for sacks givon in, for Hues on the wharf has been asked without fluchng a purchaser; onions have takeu a decided advauco, but it is difficult to get any really sound. Fowls brought 2s 9d per pair only at to-day's auction.
