Edward M'Cabe, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin, has issued a pastoral letter to tho bishops and clergy of his diocese, urging the adoption of a moderate policy by the people, and impressing upon them the necessity of abstaining from acts of violence. Arrived — Wigtonshire, from Lyttelton (left 15th March). St. Petersburg, 18th Juno. A mine was discovered by tho police today. Investigations aro now being 1 made with a view to discover the persons concerned, but up to the present time no definite information has transpired. Parip, 18th June.. Telegrams aro to hand from Marseilles reporting that further disturbances between the citizens and the Italian residents have taken place there. A serious riot occurred to-day, at tho landing of another body of troops from the Tunisian territory, who, in their march through the town, were insulted and maltreated by the Italians. The townspeople retaliated, and arms were freoly used, and many persons were killed.and wonnded before order could bo restored.
