PURSUANT to the provisions of "The Wellington Athenaeum and Mechanics' Institute Incorporation Act, 1875,", notice is hereby given that a meeting of tho members of the Wellington Athenaeum and Mechanics' Institute is hereby convened, and will be held in the hall belonging to the said institute, on Lambton Quay, in the City of Wellington, on TUESDAY, the 19th day of July next, at the honr of 8 o'clock in the evening, for the purpose of passing resolutions empowering the committee to borrow upon mortgage of the freehold property of the institute a sum of money to be applied in discharge of the existing mortgage upon tho freehold property of the institute, and of other debts of the institute, and to arrange for the payment and discharge of the Baid existing mortgage of the freehold property, and to make and execute a fresh mortgage of the freehold property of the institute for securing the payment of tho monies so to be borrowed, with interest thereon, at such rate and for such term of years, and subject to such conditions as the committee shall deem advisable, and to do all such acts and things as the committee may deem necessary or advisable for the purposes aforesaid.
