The b a. Hawea left Nelson at 11 am. yesterday, and arrived at Picton at 7 p.m. ; sailed for Wellington at 11 p m.. and arrived at 9 o'clock tnia morning, having been detained 5 hours by thick weather. She sailed South this afternoon The B,s. Wanaka left Port Chalmers on Monday, called at Ly ttalton yesterday, and arrived here this afternoon. She Bails North to-morrow. Tho b s. Hohaka arrived here at 3 o'clock this morning from Blenheim, and returns to-night. The barque Australind, from Newcastle, arrived in hirbor early this morning. She left there on the 2nd inst , and experienced chiefly adverse weather. Her cargo oi coals is tor her owner, Captain Williams. The schooner Elizabeth Conway arrived from Greymouth early this morning. The steamers Manawatu and Huia, for Wanganui, Penguin for Nelson, and Jane Douglas for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, sailed last evening. The two first named return to-morrow The p b. Charles Edward sails for Nelßon and West Coast at 5 o'clock thia evening. The sailing of the Wakatu for Patea has been postponed from yesterday till to-day. The Btormbird ehould arrive from Foxfcon tonight. She leaves again to-morrow for Foxton. The schooner Crest of the Wave iB due here with a, cargo of coal from Greymouth. The barque Adamant will be taken up on the Blip to-morrow to have her bottom cleaned. The barque reported by the Penguin yesterday as beiug like the Malay, turns out to be a Teasel bound South. The as. Patea will arrive here to-morrow morning from Patea. Th* barque Alastor got away from Worser Bay yesterday afternoon for London, -and by sunset was about 20 miles out.
