Certain : is that there were two Eichmonds in ti field, and their views were identical in regat to local government. Mr. Wakefield speech, however, is considered to have bee a remarkably good one. It is thought by some of the GovernmeT supporters that the Government havin omitted all mention of lochl government i the " Throne Speech," they cannot no very well come down with a proposal ( their own motion, and it is just poss-ible committee will be suggested to consider tl matter and press it upon the Govetnmen and thus help them out of a dilemma.
