The Ferrot case was again before the Court yesterday. It transpired in evidence that Wallace and Wright had offered the ship for sale in Melbourne privately, a reserve of .£IO,OOO beiug placed on tho vessel, bat no offers were received - v Adelaide, 10th June. ' The City Council intend to petition the Legislature against the provision in the bill for the extension of tho Adelaide suburban tramway, by which the trams will he drawn by noiseless ongines. The Corporation will also ask for power to license the tram drivers. Brisbane, 10th Juno. Two fat bullocks wore shipped by tho last mail from Townsvillo as an oxporiment to test tho possibility of a live stock trade being carried on with England. The British India Mail Company has arranged to save six days in tho voyage to England, by omitting Naples aud Colombo as ports ot call.
