Irkutsk's telegrams. I Paris, 13th Jane. Intelligence has been received from Algeria that an engagement has taken place between the French troops and a body of Algerian insurgents. The latter were totally defeated, with a 1038 of 50 killed. London, 13th June. Consols have risen per cent., and are quoted to-day at 100$. New Zealand 5 per cent. 10-40 loan, 105 ; New Zealand 5 per cent 18S9 loan, 105 ; New Zealand 4* per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 103. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 483 Gd ; New Zealand wheat, 45s 6d ; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 3*s. Australian tallow — Best beef, 34s 6d per cwt.; best mutton, 3(3s Gd. At the wool sales to-day, 9900 bales were offered. The market was firm. In the House of Commons, the consideration of the Irish Land Bill in committee was resumed on the 9th instant, after the Whitsun recess, and has continued at each day's sitting since that date.
