Detective Grace, who has boon watching somo timo to capturo mon who wcro engagea in smuggling tobacco, last evening succeeded in arresting Joseph Shultz, steward of tho Silver Cloud, trading between horo and Newcastle, and a baker named Kruso, carrying on business in Whito Road. Thoy had about 140 pounds of tobacco betwean thorn in their possossioii, and 43 pounds more wero found on board tho Silver Cloud, belonging 10 Shultz. At tho R.M. Court this morning, bhultz was fined j650, and Kru*o .£25. Tho tobacco was forfeited.
