Hawea left Port Chalmers at 115 p.m. on Tuesday, and arrived at Lyttelton at 7 a.m. yodtorday; sailed for Wellington at 315 p m., and arrived at 10 45 this morning; experienced strong head winds witb heavy head eea, increasing to strong N.W. gale across Cook Strait. She sailed North this afternoon. The s s. Mohaka arrived in harbor at 2 o'clock this afternoon from Blenheim. She returns to earn* port tomorrow. The B.fl. Go-Aheod Bailed for Lyttelton, Timaru, Uamaru and Dunedin, this afternoon. The fateamera Kennedy for Nelson and West Coast, and Jane Douglas for Knikoura and Lyttelton, sailed last evening. The b.b. Te Anaa will arrive to-morrow morning from Melb6urae, Hobart and southern ports. She leaves again same day for Sydney via the East Coast and Auckland. ' The s.b. Penguin, from Onehunga via Taranaki, Nelson and Picton, will arrive to-morrow morning, and leaves in the Afternoon for Lyttelten. The Stormbird was towed round from the Blip by the Jane Douglua lost evening, and leaves for Foxton this afternoon. The Manawatu sailed for Wanganui this afternoon, and the Huia leaves for there at 4 p.m. The Samson leaves for Wanganui, Wftitora end Manukau at 12 to-night. In reference to the Bale of tho feteamer Oieti, which we announced last week, the Auckland Herald says aho has been purchased by Messrs. Waller & Co. for a looal firm, and will in future run under their agenoy. They intend to ran her between Manukuu and Wellington, calling at Waitara, Opunoka and Wanganui, going and coming. Pilot Holmes telegraphed from the Heads this morning to Captain Holliday, to the effect that the barque signalled yesterday beat up to within three miles of tbe Heads last night, but was blotm off again; the Forest Queen also went to flea again. The sohooneiß Star of the Sea and Savoy L*aa were anchored at the Heads to-day. As the barque had not signalled for a pilot, Filot Holmes did not board her. W. & Q. Tarnbull & Co.'s barque Alexa, Capt. Bobb, Bailed from London on the 24th inst. for Wellington, She comes consigned to the New Zealand Shipping Company.
