Nbi>bon, 22nd May. Arrived, 1130 a.m,—Murray, from Wellington, Waitara, 22nd May. Arrived, 5 p.m.— Tui, from Foxton, Wellington and Taranaki. Bluff, 23rd May. The Te Anau left Melbourne at 5 p.m. on the 17tb, experienced light variable winds and fine weather, and airived at Hobart at 8 a m. on the 19th ; sailed again at 4 30, had fine weather and sighted land at 4 pm. yesterday ; slowed down for tbe night, and arrived here at daylight this morning. Passengers for Wellington— Misses Tripp (2), Mesdamos M'Donald, Meredith and child, James and child, Messrs. Smith, Saddler. Dunoan, M'Donald, Meredith, Isle, Forater, Drake and Watt. Oabtlepoint. 23rd May. Balled, 4 a.m.— Go-Aheod, for Wellington.
The ss. Penguin returned from Nelson and Pioton at 10 30 p.m. on Saturday She lelt again yesterday afternoon for Taranaki and Manukau, -with the outward San Francisco mail. The bs. Eotorua left Sydney on the 12th, called at Eussell, Auckland, Gifiborne and Napier, and arrived here at 3 pm. yesterday. She sailed for southern porta, Hobart and Melbourne, this afternoon. The aj. Taiaroa lsf t Lyttelton on Saturday sight, and arrived at the wharf at 2 p.m. yesterday. She left for Pioton and Nelson this alteraoon. The Stella returned from the French Pass at 9 o'clock on Baturday night, and leaves for southern lighthouses to-night. The steamer Huia arrived from Wanganui yesterday afternoon, and returned to same port tbia afternoon. The p.B. Manawatu arrived from Wanganui yesterday, and left again this afternoon for the lame port. The a a. Napier, after a detention in the Wairau Biver of a week, owing to tbe bad state of the bar, arrived from Blenheim at 10 o'clock last night. She returns to Blenheim to-day at midnight. Tbe ss. Wakata arrived at 3 o'clock this morning from Wanganui and Picton. She leaves for Patea to-xnorrow. The 8.8. Mohaka ur lived from Blenheim yesterday, and leaves again for same port this evening. The schooner Spec arrived from Havelock on Saturday afternoon. The ateameis St. Eilda for Wanganui, Murray for Nelson and West Coast ports, and Grafton for Lyttelton. sailed on Saturday afternoon. The Kennedy is expected from Nelson tomorrow, and returns same day. The barque S. B. Lubrs left Newcastle for Wellington on Friday last The topsail schooner Spray, while being towed into Patea by the steamer Patea, got aahore behind the breackwater, owing to the tow line having parted. She was loaded with railway iron from Wellington, and is not in a dangerous position. The a s. Go-Ahead should arrive to-night from the East Coast, and sails South on Wednesday.
