WELLINGTON RIFLE ASSOCIATION MEETING.
This Day. The firing was commenced at 8 o'olook this morning. The shooting has been much , better than it was on Saturday, on account of the weather being fine. There was a good sprinkling of visitors on the ground. The main interest in the shooting is centred i upon the competition for the aggregate prizes. No other matoh has been finished yet. The 400 and 500 yards ranges of the second matoh are completed, and the first < range of the third match (300 yds). This now leaves the 200 yds of the second matoh and the 500 yds of the third match to be fired. The highest aggregate scores at the time our reporter left the ground were :— Lieutenant Ballinger, City Bifles . . . 102 Lieutenant M'Credie, D Battery ... 100 Bandsman Howe, Guards 98 Volunteer A.
