Penguin left Nelson at 645 pjn. .yesterday, and arrived at Ficton at 2 40 this morning; left again at 3.50 a.m. and arrived in Wellington at 8 a.m. Bhe sails again this afternoon for lijttelton and Port Chalmers. The steamer Grafton, from Oamarn, Timaru and Lyttelton, arrived at 5.30 lust evening. She sails at 4 p.m. to-day for Nelson and West Coast. The barque Malay, from Newcastle, with a cargo of coals for Mr. Dransneld, arrived in harbor early this morning. Bbc left Newcastle on the 80th April, and for the first three days experienced bead wind, after which, light N.E. till arrival at the Heads at 8 last night The barque Q. M. Tuoker, Captain Oliver, arrived in harbor early thiß morning, after a very fine run of eight days from Newcastle. Bte brings a cargo of ooalß for Captain Williams. The brig Neptune made our harbor shortly after noon to-day, and sailed up to the wharf at once. Bhe oomes from Newcastle with a cargo of coals for Captain Williams, and has made a remarkably smart run of seven days. The steamers Moh*ka and Napier left for Blenheim at an early hour this morning. Ihey should be back to-morrow. H.M.B. Wolverene took her departure for Bydn9y at 6 30 this morning. The s.b. Tui, for Foxton, sailed this afternoon, and the Btormbird leaves for Kailtoura and Waipapa this eveniog. The as. Patea, for Patea, took her departnre at 10.30 this morning. The s,B. Taiaroa. arrives to-morrow morning from the Bouth, and sails North in the afternoon, s The steamers Huia and Manawatu arrive from Wanganui to-morrow morning. They return to same port in the afternoon. The s.s Kiwi is expected to-night or to-morrow morcieg from Napier and Caatlepoint. The steamer Bowen, which comes direct to Wellington from China with tea, after discharging proceeds to Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. It is expected she will come back ft> Wellington from Bouth, and return direct to Obina. A brie was signalled this afternoon, supposed to be the PhlUis, wbioh left Adelaide, for this port on the 21st April, with a cargo of bark for Mr. Tyer. Messrs. Levin A Co. are agents for the vessel.
